Brent Akhurst – Founder

Born in Vancouver B.C. Brent Akhurst was fortunate to have parents who picked up a hammer and built a cabin just outside of Whistler BC. This was where his love for the outdoors all began. Shortly after being born Brent’s parents slipped him into a back pack and headed for the hills. Skiing down the mountain’s on his mothers back before he could even walk. Brent was being prepared for the day that he would start skiing on his own two feet. His parents gave him an easy choice. Play hockey like every other kid in Canada or have the opportunity to explore the outdoors and play in the mountains. Aside from snowboarding, split touring, mountaineering, hiking, climbing, cycling & traveling Brent has developed an obsession capturing amazing moments through photography. With his passion to share these amazing adventures and to inspire all kind to get outside, Nature Calls was born.
