Emmanuel Coupe – Frozen Bubbles

At first glance I thought this photograph was a painting. I was very wrong. This amazing photo was taken by Emmanual Coupe in Alberta, Canada @ Abraham Lake. When this was taken temperatures where below -30 degrees Celsius yet because there was no snow fall the surface of the lake was uncovered allowing me to see and capture the bubbles (gas release from lake bed) that were trapped in the frozen waters.
Finding Oregon – Timelapse Photography
Finding Oregon is the compilation of six months of timelapse photography across the state of Oregon, punctuated by a 1600 mile road trip in September. This was filmed at the Columbia River Gorge, Mt Hood, Mt Jefferson, the Southwestern Coast, the Alvord Desert, Leslie Gulch, Blue Mountains, Crater Lake, Eagle Cap Wilderness, Deschutes River, and more. Some of the best stuff that I have seen. Enjoy!.
Phil Marchand – Photographer, Mountain guide & a wealth of knowledge
Last week I was lucky to have Phil Marchand as my AST-1 instructor. Phil has this real calm demeanour about him. He is the kind of guy that you want to be around in hope to get a piece of the massive amount of knowledge and experience he has in the backcountry. Phil Humbly mentioned that he did a little photography. Well I have to say that I was super impressed with his work. If you are at all interested into Skiing, Snowboarding, Touring, Mountaineering or simply the outdoors you will love these shots. Check out Phil Marchand’s work www.philmarchandimages.com
