The Elfin Lakes in my view is one of the greatest spots to do an overnight hike. I have hiked up there many times and always seem to have such a great time. You have the choice to camp in a tent or you can stay in one of the nicest provincial shelters in BC. the shelter is equipped with bunks for 34 people (11 double bunks, 12 single bunks), 4 picnic tables, 2 propane hot plates, a wash sink, a propane heater, propane lights and pit toilet facilities. Pure Luxury!
Once you get to the Parking lot you are looking at a 11km hike. This year I am going to plan on touring up to this shelter in the winter. Expect to see a post sometime in February. For more information check out theĀ BC Parks Website.
Enjoy!
