My good friend Mark Therriault shared with me last week that his friend Vancouver local Steve Curtis summited Everest just over a week ago. Steve was diagnosed with a rare form of lymphoma in 2006 and was given two years to live. It is incredibly inspiring that 6 years later Steve is alive and strong standing on top of the tallest mountain in the world. Steve works close to his community and has raised about 59k of his $150,000 goal that will go towards helping at-risk youth. The program is called “take a hike foundation” and if you don’t feel like hiking up 29,029 ft. then help by making a donation here.
