Last month I picked up an old Honda XL600R enduro with the help of my friend Brett Beadle. This weekend was the first time that I was able to get out and put some major miles on the bike. Considering this bike is 29 years old she thumped up mountain’s like it was not big deal. This was my first time venturing out on the Chance Creek FRS and was blown away with the beautiful lakes and endless views. Enjoy some of the pictures I snapped along the way. Continue reading

Wedge Mountain – Garibaldi BC
Over the past 10 year I have always wanted to climb Wedge Mountain. There is something about its beautiful shape and landscape that could not escape my mind. My good friend Mark Therriault also has a big dream that he shared with me 6 months back. This dream, that he is making a reality, is to climb the tallest mountain in the world, Mount Everest. Over the next 9 months we will be documenting Mark’s journey to Everest. With no hesitation Mark replied to my invite to climb Wedge with a “YES”. Continue reading
Shattered – Tyler Stableford
This is the first artistic short that I have seen narrated with poetry. In classic poetry form this is not the most up lifting film, but it shines reality on what happens to elite athletes once they have hit thier peak. Tyler Stableford does an amazing job capturing the emotion and journey that Steve House it on. I was super impressed with the quality of sound and camera angles. Check out more of Tyler and Steve Here. Continue reading
Brandywine Falls – Whistler BC
For 30 years I have been driving by this gem and for some reason I have never stopped to check it out until now. My Lady and I reached the falls after an easy 1km hike. We were super impressed with the beautiful falls, but I really had a calling to experience this falls as it hits the ground level. I am not going to sugar coat the level of difficulty and potential danger in going down to the base of the falls. If you are an experienced climber and have put your time in on the mountains you should be all right. Check out Vancouver Trails for more info. Continue reading
SOLITAIRE – Sweetgrass Productions
This is a must see film! In the high desert of South America, winter takes hold, devouring bleached bones and abandoned shacks. Into these most inhospitable of lands, a handful of drifters emerge from the whiteout, ready to cast their lot on forsaken peaks both merciless and magnificent. Venturing beyond the frontiers of most mountain films, Solitaire is backcountry skiing forged in the tradition of Western cinema. Born in the spires of Argentina’s legendary Las Lenas, a lonely two-year journey begins through an abandoned world, wandering the length of a continent from Peru’s Cordillera Blanca to Chilean Patagonia.Lost in the winds of snowbound badlands and the blizzards of primordial forests; seen from a horse’s saddle and a paraglider’s wings; ridden on ski and board and telemark…Solitaire fuses western-inspired tales of backcountry gambles into landscapes never before visited on film. Enjoy! Continue reading
